The natural resource in xingshan counry is very rich.The theoretical storing volume of hydroenergy is 310,000KW,of which 217,700KW can be developed.Up until now,47hydroelectric stations have been built,whose installed capacity is 180,000KW and annual generated energy is 500 millon KW/h.Over 40 minerals hane been explored,of which the reserves of phosphate ore are 357 million tons,a rare area rich of phosphate ore.It is the largest silver vanadium composite mineral deposit in Asia.The reserves of granite are 5,200 million m3,which is one of the fourteen key export bases of stone materials. The development outlook of silica,garnet,golgmine and other minerals is also very good.

         Trees are everywhere within the county. The forestry area accounts up 85.66% of the land area. .There are 232 kinds of trees ,which belong to 52 sections .The forestry coverage rate reaches 48.92%. There are many rare trees such as ginkgo and dove tree and many wild animals such as giant salamander and macaque .It has been always called Natural Tree Garden . There are 600,000 mu bases of forestry and fruit and such characteristic products as Zhaojun orange , Jin orange , Yanzhi shaddock , thin shell walnut , ginkgo , eucommia and Chinese gooseberry . The scenery within the county is splendid . At present , it has National AAA Level Scenery SpotZhaojun Village , beautiful mountain scene and ancient hole reservoir area , which are conncted with world famous Three Georges and the original and mysterious Shennongjia and regarded as the Golden Passage of travel.
